Box & Accessories
We start with the box — checking fonts, colorways, label placement, SKU codes, and barcodes against verified references. Laces, insoles, and extra accessories are inspected for correct weight and finish.
Stitching & Construction
Every stitch is examined under bright light. Authentic sneakers have consistent, tight stitching with no fraying or uneven spacing. We check toe boxes, heel counters, and midsole joins.
Materials & Texture
We feel every material — leather, mesh, suede, synthetic. Fakes often use cheaper substitutes that feel different to the touch. Our team knows exactly how authentic materials behave.
Weight
Every model has a documented weight range. We weigh each pair and compare against verified authentic samples. Weight discrepancies of even a few grams raise a flag.
Sole & Midsole
We inspect sole patterns, midsole foam density, glue lines, and colorways. Sole patterns on fakes are often slightly off — wrong depth, wrong spacing, or wrong material hardness.
Logo & Branding
Every logo is checked — font weight, letter spacing, embossing depth, and positioning. We compare against factory references for every brand we carry.
Manufacturing Tags
Internal tags, size labels, country of manufacture, and factory codes are cross-referenced with official brand databases and verified samples.
Colorway Accuracy
Colors are compared in natural light against official product photos and verified pairs. Pantone-level accuracy is expected — subtle dye differences can indicate a fake.
Hardware & Lace Locks
Metal eyelets, lace locks, zip pulls, and any hardware are checked for correct finish, weight, and branding. Cheap hardware is a common tell.
Smell Test
Authentic sneakers have a specific material smell. Fakes often use cheaper glues and materials that smell noticeably different. Our team is trained to identify this.
Cross-Reference Check
We cross-reference the pair against our internal database of verified authentic samples, trusted community resources, and brand-specific authentication guides.
Final Sign-Off
Every pair gets a final review before being cleared for sale. If any step raises a concern, the pair is pulled — no exceptions. Only verified pairs get the Hypestrike seal.

Simple. If a pair fails any step of our inspection, it does not get listed or shipped. No exceptions, no second chances.

If you receive a pair and believe it's not authentic, contact us within 48 hours for a full refund — no questions asked.
